We are looking for a biochemist to join as a Senior Scientist (m/f/d)

Location: Matzingen, Switzerland – Start: as soon as possible

At cellvie, we are leveraging the therapeutic potential of mitochondria. Based on mitochondria augmentation and replacement, an approach developed at Harvard, we are building a medicinal platform. cellvie is a venture-backed start-up with primary activities close to Zürich and in Boston.

We are looking for a highly motivated, science-driven biochemist, having at least 5 years of hands-on research experience in the delivery of active payloads into cells - ideally in vitro and in vivo. You must be an entrepreneurial team player with great passion, drive, and diligence in your work.

Who we are seeking:
You are expected to be self-motivated and resourceful and to have excelled in your work to date. You should be a biochemist by training, hold a PhD and have at least 5 years of hands-on research experience working on the delivery of active payloads into cells in vitro and in vivo - e.g. using nanoparticles or other modalities. Experience in mitochondria biology and / or how these organelles can pass into cells is a big plus.

Experience in aging and genetics would be a big plus

  • Creativity and the ability to think beyond an experiment to envision the path to a product
  • Capacity to adapt as priorities and requirements change
  • Ability to plan and document your work diligently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Positive spirit, a real drive for science and a good sense of humor
