The project funded focuses on advancing cellvie's mitochondrial isolation process to enable the scalable, safe, and cost-effective manufacturing of its therapy.

The new location features office space, a kitchen and meeting area and, most importantly, more than 100 sqm. state-of-art laboratory. The new office is found in Technopark Zürich, which offers a vibrant setting with around 260 firms of various sizes and stages of development, which come from many different industries.

Harvard spinout cellvie is pioneering therapeutic mitochondria transplantation as a way to rescue cell energy metabolism and save cells that would otherwise die. James McCully, a cellvie AG co-founder, developed the approach at Harvard Medical School to ameliorate ischemia-reperfusion injury, which is the tissue damage caused when blood supply returns after a period of ischemia.
